In pursuit of a happy weekend, Black Button Distillery located in Rochester, NY, has concocted a few cocktails using Red Jacket Orchards juice and jam. These are some special cocktails made entirely from New York State products. Using our juice produced in the heart of the Finger Lakes, and gin and vodka distilled in the Flower City, these cocktails should have you screaming, “I Love New York” from the top of your lungs.
So break out your cocktail shakers, follow the instructions below and shake up some New York pride!

Red Jacket Strawberry Gin
1 ounce of Citrus Forward Gin
3 basil leaves
2 ounces of lemonade
½ ounce of simple syrup
½ ounce of Red Jacket Tart Cherry
Instructions: In a cocktail shaker, muddle gin, strawberries and basil leaves well. Add simple syrup, Tart Cherry juice, and lemonade to shaker. Fill with ice. Shake well and serve double strained into glass. Serve cold and enjoy!
Black Currant Moscow Mule
1 ounce of Wheat Vodka
½ ounce of lime juice
½ ounce of Red Jacket Black Currant
Instructions: Add ice to copper mug. Add vodka. Add lime juice. Top with ginger beer. Add ½ ounce of Red Jacket Black Currant and enjoy!
The Empire Gin Sling
1 1/2 ounces Black Button Citrus Forward Gin
1 ounce sweet vermouth
1/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
1/4 ounce simple syrup
1 Ounce NY Style Lemonade from Red Jacket Orchards
Dash Fee Brothers Old Fashioned Bitters
Garnish: Lemon Spiral
Instructions: Add gin, vermouth, lemon juice, simple syrup, and lemonade into shakers glass with ice. Shake well and strain into glass with ice. Add dash of bitters. Top off with soda water. Garnish with lemon twist and enjoy!
The All NY Vodka Cranberry
2 ounces Black Button Vodka
4 ounces Cranberry Apple Juice
Garnish: Lemon Wedge
Instructions: Add ice to cocktail glass. Add vodka. Add Cranberry Apple Juice.
The Natural’s Gin and Jam
Bar spoon of Red Jacket strawberry jam
3 of basil leaves muddled in shaker
1.5 ounce citrus gin
.5 of lime
.5 simple syrup
One egg white
.25 lilac simple syrup
Instructions: Muddle the jam and basil together, softly. More like a press because you do not want to rip through the basil. Add the egg white. Combine all other ingredients. Shake vigorously and violently for 45 seconds to a minute due to the egg base. Double strain into a coupe glass
Garnish lilac pedals.
